Well, it all starts week one here in Spain when i got really sick and wasn't really able to do anything. About day 7 or so i just really needed to have a God day. It was Sunday and i didn't feel like i could go out anywhere to church so i prayed God would give me something to watch online. I was searching sermons by Rob Bell, Nooma videos, when this video called "Breathe" really stuck out to me. So i watched the video and listened to what Rob had to say, and the more he said the more and more i felt how it was relating to my life here in Spain. The Hebrew word for "breath" is Ruah and at the root of breathing is life, because breath is life, and life is the spirit; breath and spirit are the same thing. Also In the beginning God breathed the breath of "life" into Adam. Here in Spain, God has given me new life, he has breathed new life into me. God has given me a new "Ruah" a new breath in Sevilla Spain. God is the one who got me here and has been the one that has blessed me with so much since i have been here. This title of "Ruah in Sevilla" to me simply signifies a new start and a fresh breath of life. I don't have a past i am running from or something that i need to get cover up, but here in Sevilla there is a fresh start and a new life.
Coming to Sevilla meant that for the first time in my life i would physically be by myself, knowing no one. God knows who i am here, of course, but on day one no body else did. Day one it was me and Jesus and the Sevilla. My new life here in Spain is totally Gods, I hope that this year i can learn to "breathe" him in everyday and become the man he wants me to be, from the trials and hard times to great memories and great times i know God is with me. I praise him for bringing me here and I praise him for everyday that I am here. Here living my new life, breathing in my new breaths, and making a new life here in Sevilla Spain. To God be all the Glory!
