Being a kid again!

Today Martha got back form Portugal and i got a message to meet her at her house at around 8 to meet a special family she had staying with her! I was really excited because i heard that they had two 5 year old boys that were twins... i told Martha we were going to have a great time playing all night. We had a little devo time before the family showed up and then we went out to dinner and i had skittles that the little kids when nuts for. They had never had them so i gave them each some skittles! Thanks mom... your thoughtfulness blessed these little guys and the parents too because they loved skittles too!
I had a night full of playin with the little guys and flippin them and juggling for them... it was great! I had an absolute blast playin with the little guys... I hope when i get kids i can have twins i loved those little guys. The sisters name was megan and she was 7 and she was just a doll! She was talking... then right in the middle of a sentence she says,"hey am i talking too much?" I was like OF COURSE NOT! Hahaha she was so cute, just had the neatest little personality! I got to be a kid again and i loved it!!!=)

Dec 4 Coffee with Connie

Today i got a message from Connie an american friend of mine that is in ISA and she wanted to have coffee. About a month ago we went hiking and got into a convo about what we believed and why and what she said really challenged me to search out what i didnt know. She asked me why some books of the bible were not put in and why others were and some contradicting words that she believed where in the bible. It made be go searching because i did not have a clue about the bibles history, only had some basic stuff on the King James version.
We set up 6:30 in front of the fountain at Puerta de Jerez where we always meet. I got there early and had done some research on the issues that i had no clue about. In front of the starbucks was a group of about 5 Jamaicans that were playin drums, juggling fire, eating fire, dancing, and havin a good time! So i sat around and watched them until Connie came and then we went to the oldest Bakery in Sevilla that was across the street from the Cathedral(which i have yet to be in) and we went upstairs and started chatting. We had an awesome chat about both our believes and what we believed and why. It was a great convo that challenged me even more to search out more answers i didnt have a clue about. I loved getting the chance to talk to someone about why i am who i am. After that went home and chilled=)
God thank you for your daily blessings and your constant work in my life, humbling me and letting me know that there is SO SO MUCH i dont have A CLUE ABOUT!

Day with Abe

Today i woke up and got ready to go meet with Abraham my best friend over here, so that we could fix some problems with the bike renting system that they have here in Sevilla. It is a great system but the bikes are really poorly built, and the stations dont work really well. So we fixed some problems with Sevici and then took a stroll in the park.
Then we can across a strange plant. Abe told me that when these green little pokey like buds were totally ripe they would explode to shoot their seeds everywhere! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT... then he picked one and sure enough, as soon as the bud was ripped from the vine (invision a really big rape being picked off the stem) then where the stem whole was SHOT OUT all the seeds from the inside!!! it was incredible!!!! I was totally entertained for the next 5 minutes shooting seeds at Abe!!! Hahaha it was a blast! Then we found a lemon tree and he helped me climb it to pick a fresh lemon!!! IT WAS HUGE!!!! like the size of a softball!!! It smelled so good! Never picked a lemon before... it was a good time!
Then Abe came over and had lunch with me and my family and we had some good little chats. I had wanted to have Abe over for a long time so it was fantastic to finally have him to my house. After we got done eating we both took a small siesta and then he left.
He called me back around 1130 and said to meet in front of Torro de Oro in 30 minutes. i ate a little somethin then got my sevici bike and rode the 15 minute ride to the meeting place. There is a little dancin joint were there is always live music so we went there and waited about 1 hour for the music to start. The whole time while we waited Abe and Leah ( a german friend of ours who is studying here) taught me how to salsa and do another type of step. I had a blast!!!! Finally got down the steps and then our friend Carmen showed up with a crew of friend from her masters program. We danced for another 4 hours or so then decided to go home! You guys are awesome thanks for all your help... its hard for a country swinger to become a formal salsa'er!

Dec 3... Tapas y Temas in Burmujos.

Every Thursday there is a thing called Tapas y Temas which means food and a lesson. Martha called me up and asked if i wanted to go and of course i did. I got to her house and we had a nice chat on the way over... i love riding and talking, its one of my favorite things to do... we drove the 30 minutes to the little place and got out and walked upstairs. They had about 20 people there and they were worshiping and the like... i got to see the interns Megan and Andrea... talked with Shaphin for awhile then ate and started home. Got to Marthas and ate with Abe and talked about daily devotions and 2 Timothy 2:22 and verses pertaining to that subject then we went home and went to bed.

Nov 29... December 2=FINALS

Well to say the least this last week has been brutal. I had 2 papers which were 5 pages each and were research paper plus 2 test. By the way i got my spanish test back and i got a 7.45 on it! I was really happy with my self... but i must thank my sister for all her help and then of course Inma who helps me out so much with everything ALL the time and Martha and the gang for keepin me accountable and havin me get studyin! Ps a 7.45 is really good over here... an 8 would have been awesome... and i only did really bad on one section... if i would have done better on it i would have gotten a 8.5 or 9... there were like 8 sections so it was a lot.
So to say the least school has been preoccupying a lot of my time here. I had another exam in Culture and Econ of spain and i got a 8 on that, and i had a paper and got an 8.5 on that, which made me really happy. All the hard work is payin off and im starting to get settled down after all the high stress and that is nice=)
